Who really built Teotihuacan?
Its origins are also unknown. It was handcrafted more than a thousand years before the Nahuatl-speaking Aztecs swooped into central Mexico. But it was the Aztecs who gave it its present name: Teotihuacan, after descending on the abandoned site and being awed by what they saw.
