SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2021

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) prescribes the SSC CGL eligibility criteria 2021 that applicants must fulfil to become eligible to take the exam. As part of the eligibility conditions, candidates have to satisfy requirements related to age limit, educational qualification, and nationality, etc. To become eligible to appear for SSC CGL 2021 eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed their graduation and should be between the age group of 18 to 30.

Before filling the SSC CGL application form, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility norms:

Nationality Criteria

A candidate must be either Indian Citizen or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee (who moved with an intention to permanently settle in India before 1962) or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to permanently settle in India.

Age Limit Criteria

  • The lower and upper limit of age varies post-wise.
  • Applicants’ age mentioned in the 10th/12th certificates will be considered.
  • The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the age limit for the post of Tax Assistant (under CBEC Group C). Earlier the age limit was 20 to 27 years, however, now the age limit for this post has been revised to 18 to 27 years.
